Optometrist

Shireen Abubaker-Desai is a registered Optometrist. She has a B. Optometry degree from The University of the Free State. She has been in clinical practice for the past 16 years, having had experience in various aspects of Optometry.

Shireen also has a postgraduate certificate in Ocular Therapeutics. She is very passionate about Eyecare, her main focus being on the clinical rather than the retail aspect of Optometry. She really enjoys working with people and believes in a holistic approach to eye care.

Other than general Optometry, Shireen has a keen interest in diagnosing and managing keratoconus and managing patients with ocular manifestations of diabetes.
